Resume: the article reveals the role of the unconscious in advertising. The latter is viewed as one of the human “sense experiences”. The author describes the work of a tachistoscope, highlights the importance of stereotypes as a tool for manipulation of the sub consciousness and speaks of the advertising as a “vicious tempter”.
